To ensure the security of your personal information, we do not require you to enter your card number when you place your order. Our website will advise you only of the cost of the product(s) you ordered, and does not include shipping, handling charges or applicable taxes. When we receive your order, we will calculate the additional charges for shipping, handling and applicable taxes, and then contact you to advise the total cost of your order. At this time we will accept your credit card information. We will also advise you of the approximate shipping date of your order. We will not process payment until the order is completed, packed and ready to be shipped. Credit Card SecurityWe are just as concerned about fraudulent use of credit card information and identity theft as you are. At the Matlady, we DO NOT retain ANY credit card information. When you place an order and give us your credit card information, we quickly process your payment, and then we IMMEDIATELY shred any written documentation that has your credit card number. We do not use a computer to keep a record of this information. It is a manual process with the paperwork shredded immediately. Also, we have programmed our point-of-sale machine to " X " out your credit card number on both your receipt and our copy of the transaction.We don't retain any personal information about you at the Matlady either. We appreciate all our loyal customers, but we don't keep track of you and your purchases at the risk of losing the information somehow. We hope you understand that we are doing our best to keep your private information out of the hands of people that should not have it. When we have received your order, we will calculate the total cost, including taxes, shipping and handling and will advise you of the amount and accept your credit card information. Custom Orders:We offer a complete design service for you and your customers. Mats can be created in any size and shape up to 12' wide and 120' long!! Just fax us with the information along with a sketch and an idea of how much detail is in the design, and colours desired. We will give you suggestions and a quote. The Matlady has found that suggesting a mat of a customer's house or pet makes a great gift for that person who has everything. We have done boats, summer cottages, the view from front porches, every breed of dog and type of cat you can imagine, and grandparents love mats for grand kids etc. All Deborah needs are photographs and she can make a very special gift for someone! Please Note: Due to our valiant, but not always successful attempts at photographing our mats, they may seem at times different sizes and shapes. We hope this is not too disconcerting or annoying. Unless otherwise noted all mats are sized as follows: Rectangles 22" X 36" Colors in photographs may vary slightly from actual mats. Please make sure to tell us if specific colors are required. We use Benjamin Moore paints, and can match paint chips and/or chip numbers. Any floormat can be done in any size, shape or colors you want. The possibilities are endless!!! The Matlady is pleased to offer quantity discounts on placemat orders, subject to certain conditions. WITHIN CANADA Within Canada we ship by Canada Post Expedited Parcel Service from our studio in Chester, Nova Scotia. We also offer shipping by UPS for " Rush " orders. The number of business days (Monday to Friday) between major centers for Expedited Parcel is: Local - up to 3 days The Matlady is located outside a major center, so please add 1 day. If you are located outside a major center add 1 day on your end. Shortly after you place your order with www.matlady.com we will email you an order confirmation. CANADA - UPS Standard Service: UPS standard service from our studio to a major Centrer like the Greater Toronto Area takes 4-5 business days or less. ( We once had a parcel leave our studio in Chester at 1:00 PM, and was delivered in Toronto the next morning!!) If you wish this level of service, please advise us and we will advise the exact cost, depending on the weight of your parcel. As a general rule, the cost for UPS service to Eastern Canada, ( including Ontario ) is the Canada Post rate plus an additional $8.00 per order ( Example: 1 mat sent UPS to GTA is $16.85 ). CONTINENTAL UNITED STATES: Shipping to the Continental United States is by UPS Standard Service.
Shipping is available to Alaska and Hawaii also. Please contact us for rates. WORLD-WIDE SHIPPING We offer world-wide shipping. If you need a special, personalized gift for your mother in Miami, your sister in Singapore, or your nieces and nephews in Norway, just give us a call!!!! We normally ship by the level of service that offers the best balance between cost and delivery time. However, we can meet just about any urgent delivery request, by using the various levels of service offered by UPS. Just let us know what your delivery needs are, and we will advise you of the delivery options and rates that are available. Orders within Canada will have a sales tax of 5% HST( GST ) except in NB, NS and NL which will have 13% HST. There will be no sales tax on orders shipped to the US. For US orders, the amount charged to your credit card account will be determined by Visa, MasterCard or Amex based on the actual exchange rate at the time we process your order. The Matlady wants you to be completely satisfied with your product, and we will do everything possible to see that you are!!! Please understand that most of our products are custom made to your specifications, and are only returnable if you receive them damaged or defective, and you advise us immediately upon receipt. Please be very careful when entering information advising us of requests for custom colours, and/or the name to be personalized on the mat. Names misspelled by us will be considered as a defective product, and we will replace the product or refund your money. Every product made by The Matlady is done by hand, and she has the tennis elbow to prove it! While we try to make the products look exactly as seen on our website, there may be minor differences in the appearance of your product. We consider this to be part of the charm and character of a hand-made product, and not a manufacturing defect. In the event you wish to return a non-personalized, non-customized product, you may do so within 30 days for a full refund of your purchase price. Please return the item to us, prepaid, in the original packaging. Please contact us for return information before returning any product.
